Our Deck Construction Process

We start with a free consultation to discuss what you would like from your deck. We can visit your home to understand what you are looking for in your perfect deck and then assess your outdoor space to ensure your planned deck will meet all codes and specifications.
Whether you need a new design or want to use one you already have, we work with you to create the perfect blueprint for your deck. For more detailed projects, we use advanced design software to craft a customized deck plan.
During the design phase, we provide samples of different decking materials you can select. We work with you to choose the best options based on your needs, budget, and style.
Our materials include PVC, composite, Ipe, cedar, aluminum decking, and pressure-treated wood, ensuring your finished deck is beautiful and durable.
Once we have narrowed down the design and decking materials, we provide you with a project estimate for the scope of work. We can make any necessary adjustments until you’re 100% satisfied. After that, we’ll send you a contract to sign, and get working on your deck.

Demolition & Site Prep
Deck construction starts with preparing the site and laying the foundation. If replacing an existing deck, we will do site demolition and clean-up before we move forward with laying out the deck’s foundation.
Deck Foundation Installation
For the foundation of your deck, we use helical or concrete piles to ensure a strong, stable and supportive base. If digging into the ground isn’t possible, we use deck blocks as an alternative foundation, offering a secure and effective solution.
Deck Framing
When building the frame for your deck, CanaDeck offers a variety of solutions to match your needs and preferences. Treated wood framing is the most common option. It's a reliable choice that balances cost with durability and is popular with homeowners.
For homeowners seeking extra strength and longevity steel framing is an excellent option.
