Our Story

Hello,

I’m Jonathan Elkayam, the founder and owner of CanaDeck. My passion for woodworking began at a young age, working with my father on home projects that ignited my love for building. After gaining a degree in Business Management and Economics, I found my true calling in hands-on work instead of being in an office all day. Building decks has allowed me to combine my business knowledge with my lifelong passion for craftsmanship.


After working as a deck builder and later as a supervisor in Toronto, I gained additional valuable industry experience and a strong understanding of what customers really value: honesty, reliability, transparency, service excellence, and exceptional quality. In founding CanaDeck after moving to British Columbia, my goal was to create a company that embodies these principles and serves the Greater Vancouver area with unparalleled expertise.
